Will egg size change now that it’s been 6 weeks?

Hi there! My hatchery RIR has been laying for about 6 weeks and her eggs are now coming regularly (skipping a day every few days) but have not increased in size. I weigh every egg since she is my only egg layer so far and they are all around 45 grams in weight. They aren’t quite as small as they had been when she first started but also haven’t changed much. She has access to plenty of food and water, gets out to free range at least once a day, and has 3 other flockmates that are not laying, yet.
will her egg size change much anymore or does it seem that this is it for her? I should note that she is nearing 26weeks

She is still young so I would expect them to get larger. However they may never reach the extra large range.
The amount of protein in the diet is a determinant of yolk size and quantity of albumen. That makes the egg the size it is.
Also, hatching from small pullet eggs will yield birds that will lay small eggs when they mature.

thanks for your thoughts! I’ve read as many posts as I could find on this topic and it sounds like they could still get bigger as she grows, but may not. My previous two-bird flock of a (different) RIR and PBR also laid eggs this size, though I never weighed them. I only realized they were small when my neighbor mentioned that her birds’ eggs were much larger. However, she had ISAs. Now that I have a new mixed flock, I’ve paid more attention out of curiosity.
This flock was on chick feed until that ran out, now they are on All Flock. My previous flock was on Layer at 16wks.

I actually have a RIR I used to have three but now my last one is about 10 months old. Anyways the point is yes the eggs will get bigger and bigger up fro maybe another 2 months.
