I know this seems like a silly question and that the answer should be an obvious 'no'... that being said, I have what I am fairly certain is an 'araucana' hen who is starting to make some very strange noises that sound an awful lot like crowing. I know they are a pea comb chicken, and I know what the boys and the girls are supposed to look like in the comb-and-wattle area. S/he has a small pink comb and no wattles at all. I will try to get a picture later, or better a video.

Yes I have heard that hens will try to crow....generally the dominant hen

For the first time, I saw my BR hen crow. Rest of them ran crazy.
Then I realized there was a hawk flying over.

Just yesterday I posted that I have a GLW that crowed-sounded like a garbled underwater crow. About an hour later I heard her crowing, a lot better. Looked outside and it was the Rock Cross. So I have 2 crowing hens.
