Will hens lay eggs their entire life??

My 3 yrs + SS girl UNO still lays almost everyday except though the molting time , Though this winter she did slow down to around 4 a week but shes picking back up again.

We have an EE that's aged...not sure exactly how old but probably around 5 yrs...she lays around 2-3 per week at this point with weird-o eggs every so often. 1 day it was a teensie bantam sized egg...another time it was an enormous double yoke.

Our 2 GLWs are 3 yrs. old and each lay an egg every other day. One of my good friends has sex-links that lay like mad for around 2 yrs and then all but quit. We have quite a few semi-geriatrics in our flock and they are still pretty efficient in converting feed to eggs. Thank goodness b/c everyone has a name & no one goes into dumplins around here.
