Will my Chickens come out of their coop?

Not today, at least not now.
We got 7 inches of snow last night.
I shoveled both pens and one Barred Rock came out, crackles and goes back inside.

My Golden Comets stayed inside too.

They probably won't come out since this happened overnight and a change in scenery for them. Give them some time, they'll get used to it and start coming out.

They will venture out in due time. Mine did after our first snow of the season which was over 12 inches here with a few more after that. They have scratched to bare ground in several ares. Yours will come out when they are ready.

Yeah, they finally came out after sunrise, at least my 15 months old Barred Rocks did.

My 3 1/2 years old Golden Comets weren't out after 10 am. I bribed one outside with Scratch Grains. The other stayed under the coop in the doorway. GC
