Will my chickens ever get along

I purchased 3 Rhode Island Reds last spring and this year introduced 2 Jersey Giants. I did the slow introduction over weeks and weeks. We even built a new pen so they were all moving to a new area trying to stop the territorial ways of my Rhode Islands... It appears the Rhode Islands have stopped chasing the Jerseys around, but they still huddle in a corner together. Are they ever just going to be happy all together? It is quite a sight to see a bird as large as a Jersey hide from one of my smaller Rhode Island, but she did come by her name honestly... Charger. Any advice would be welcome!

Things may maintain as they are or once the JG reach maturity they may put a beat down on the RIR. The pecking order is fluid and ever changing with birds looking to improve their status.

I have to add there is a chance that no , they won’t get along but it’s rare .

Just like people some breeds just don’t mix well. I have two strong breeds that both want to be the “queens”

I’d give it time ,it’s been 2 months for me , as long as they are laying and eating I’d wait and see.

Good luck

Jersey's aren't laying yet still have some time for them.
The will maintain a sub-flock until they start laying...then they may merge more.

Do the JG stay there all day and all night, or are they able to eat, drink, roost??

No they do not stay there all day and night. They do eat and drink and roost. We have several feeding and drinking options so they don't have to be in the same spot as the RIR's.
