Will my ducks lay this year

Hi everyone,

my three khaki campbells ducks hatched April 20th 1 boy and 2 girls, I’ve notice this week that they’ve started to display mating behaviours and wondered if this could indicate that they will begin to lay anytime soon? That said, it’s nearly September and I wondered if that means they might start to lay in the spring instead?

Once they begin laying it usually only takes 2-3 weeks before the first egg appears. Or I will say that is what happened here with my Runners and once they started they laid all through winter a total of 18months before they took their first major break. Mine hatched late April and were laying in Sept.

My April hatches just started laying today actually. I usually get 3 eggs a day and today I went in to find 9 eggs.
