Will my hens sit on other eggs??

I was wondering, when one of my hens goes broody, will she sit on any eggs? Or does she have to recognize them. Can I put any fertile eggs I want to hatch under her? Will she still take care of them?

For a broody hen, any egg will do. They will even sit on fake eggs and golf balls or no eggs at all. I have a broody bantam that is dutifully sitting on and fiercely defending a completely empty nest.
