will my new pheasants eat my plums

I have built a fully enclosed fox proof cage its 50mtr by 12mtr and 7mtrs tall, inside are 1/2 of my plum collection with geese running underneath to eat grass.
will my new birds eat all my plums or just pick a couple ( this is fine by me) does anyone have experience of this.
also could i feed then on a platform, if I feed on ground the geese will eat the lot

you may have misunderstood I don't wish to feed them plums and hope they eat them, I wish to know will they fly into my collection of rare plum trees and eat them up there or damage them ( a few say 10% is fine by me)
