Will not roost in pen

Have 3 young turkeys that have been staying in this pen for several weeks. I am now letting them free roam. My problem is that they want to roost on our porch. How do I stop them.

Have 3 young turkeys that have been staying in this pen for several weeks. I am now letting them free roam. My problem is that they want to roost on our porch. How do I stop them.

You have to train them to not roost on your porch.

You need to provide better roosts than what you are showing. The roost bars are too small and too close to the wall.

If they are heritage turkeys, provide them with wood roosts that are at least 3" in diameter. If they are broad breasted, provide them with a bale of hay or straw.

Herd them into your building before dark and shut them in.

I agree with better roosts . I use flat 2x4
