These little ladies, 4 weeks old, just will not roost at night. I have a perch in their box, about 3 inches high. They stand on it during the day. When I turn out the lights, boom, they pile up. If I sneek in and move them, they all wake up and go nuts, then huddle up again. Should I care about this? Wait until they move outside and see what happens?

During the day they're not really roosting, they're playing with it more than anything. I wouldn't worry about trying to teach them to roost in the brooder, wait until they're in the coop.

Left to their own devices it may take them weeks to want to roost once they're in the coop. You can put them up on the roost if you chose, if you want them roosting sooner.

I don't worry about them roosting until they are between aboutt 12 and 15 weeks old. At the age yours are, huddling is what they do, it keeps them warm. If they were with their mama, they would still be huddling under her at night.
