A home has been found for my two hens,(one Americana, one commet). The person who has taken them has one lonely rooster. I know that roosters can over-breed hens, (i.e breed them so much their feathers on back, head, and neck can come off). Then rooster could possibly break skin if he continues to mate. Is two hens enough?

Went to visit them. Hens seemed OK, and not over-mated. (Though I couldn't see them well cause they stayed in coop.) Rooster seemed to be timid of me, and kept hens in the coop. Hens seemed to listen to him. Didn't attempt to interact wth the roo, though he wasn't trying to attack me through the chicken wire. Coop seemed small, but it had only housed one roo before.
