I have a serama who just started laying and I thought I lost her, (I had been on vacation and when I came home she was missing.)

Well, I found her this morning sitting on a clutch of 9 eggs under the coop.

She can't cover those 9 eggs, lol.

But, I need to know whether I should let her sit on a few or if they have no hopes of hatching.

The rooster who was with the flock until just recently was a large breed - probably a black copper marans. Is there any chance the eggs will hatch?

(I don't know if they're even fertile. I haven't tried to candle any and the only eggs laid by her or her sister I have ever cracked was hard to tell if it was fertile.)

Sure, they can hatch just fine. When it comes to fertilization, chickens is chickens. Go ahead and let her hatch them if you want to. They should be some interesting mutts.
