Will Speckled Sussex go broody?

Hi there.
I have one speckled sussex hen I bought awhile back, and recently bought 18 chicks. What are the chances of the hens going broody? Or do they at all? I am new to the breed.

A Sussex can go broody, and they are known to do so. But each will be an individual. And I wouldn't count on her going broody at the sight of chicks or on your schedule.

They seem to be a pretty wonderful breeds for me so far, though this is my first year with the Sussex. I don't regret or second guess my choice to get them.... Far better than many other breeds, in my experience!
