She is most likely a Cornish X meat bird, and if she lives long enough she will produce eggs. She will not lay like a production bird, and her lifespan will be limited.
She looks like a Cornish cross meat bird, and feeding her "meat bird food" will make her heavy and fat, so you can butcher her. But if you restrict her feed, like @Poultrybonkers said, she will lay eggs but will have a short lifespan compared to good egg laying chickens.
Ugh! Lol So please help me understand just how long she will live? I ain’t eating her! Lol she’s my pet now. So to not starve her how much/often should I feed her? Someone gave us 4 brown hens yesterday so she wouldn’t be lonely. Idk what type they are. They all eat “together “ now. I put a feeder down it’s got starter/grower in it right now because I didn’t know about the others coming. TeTe is like 4 mo old these are 1-2 yrs old. They are penned together.
