Will the girls choose?

The way it is in there they have plenty of room to sleep. They all roost next to each other now and take up a quarter of the space.
What are the dimensions of the coop? It may seem like there is plenty of room now but that could change come winter. Mine have been coop-bound for up to 3 months some years.

I think they will still have room based on what I'm seeing. They consistently want to be close to each other, even the boys. I will watch it closely. It's gets pretty cold here so I would want them to keep each other warm. I still wonder about super cold temps and how that is going to go. Snow is hit or miss here. The last couple years it hasn't snowed a lot,but those cold temps scare me.

Prince is gorgeous ❤️

I wasn't to sure about him at first and I'm not fond of him challenging the other one, but I get it, it's what they do. I still don't have to like it though. He is showing lots of promise. He has come to the girls rescue more then once.

The thing about him is that he seems attached to me and I don't know if that is good or bad? He comes running to the gate when he sees me. He then talks to me. When I walk through the gate he steps aside. If I walk around the enclosure he follows me along with the girls. I think he might be a special boy.

Prince is beautiful! :love I say let the hens choose, but have the reserve of a Mama's eye...and they will likely prefer the roo that pampers them and protects them alike. Even if they seem to be going along with the less-nice roo, they may do that to not get beat up or cause fights, so don't be afraid to rehome if one of the roos is too aggressive. They will go to the nicer roo once the other leaves, regardless! If Prince comes to their rescue and tidbits for them ("tidbitting' is that sweet behavior you saw, where he finds something yummy then calls the hens over to eat it) and looks out for them, he is already proving himself to be a very good "hubby/daddy figure." :jumpy

I'm seeing it more and more. They will run and hide behind him(Prince) when the other one goes for them(the girls)They are fine with him until he tries some funny business.

Sounds like he's been friend-zoned :th

Also, he definitely seems like the one of the two that the girls trust the most. Even if they're not submitting to him yet, from what I understand he's not pushing it either and is gentle with them. If I could only keep one, Prince would be the one I'd keep.
