Will the rain EVER stop? !!!!!!!

PS. I SAVED TWO LIVES TODAY!!!
Went out to check the chickens between rain storms and heard a horrid racket from the neighbor's bushes at the fence. Several wild birds sounding the alarm, something crackling the branches, and high pitched panic cheeps! Warily I edged closer, pulling the tall grass and weeds back slowly and found quite a sight - a very small rat snake (no bigger round than my finger) had hold of a rather large field rat (at least the size of my fist). It was the rat screaming in terror, because I don't think snakes scream in frustration at having tried to catch something way too big! A moment after I found them, the rat broke free and staggered off in one direction dazedly, while the snake went in the other. No way that tiny snake could've swallowed that big ol' rat - I rather think the rat would've eaten it instead.
What a sight!

I love rain too. Not mold, it really sets off my allergy. I danced in the rain yesterday when no one was around.

Okay, so the DH had a ten day vacation from the 11th of this month until yesterday. It rained every single day.
He went back to work today. The sun is shining.

You do realize this is a comedy thread for us in the PNW. We had a winter a couple years ago with 120 days of rain.

I live in North Alabama/Limestone County and for some reason most of the rain has gone around us. We still have gotten about 3 inches in the past two days but I'm not complaining.

I remember the drought days before we moved from Georgia, bet they aren't talking about not flushing your toilet now.

Just checkin' your age, JoeB. . .

It has rained just about every day for the last two weeks. 5.5 inches last night alone! This morning a small "stream" developed flowing right through the gate into the fenced-in dog area.

More rain is in the forecast.

Rain is what California will get tons of too, once all the fires have burnt off every piece of vegetation. Then they get mudslides as well.

Still raining.....sigh

Most counties around here have school closings tomorrow because of power and road outages and heavy flooding.
One poor toddler is still lost as the families home was washed away in Carroll County earlier today. At least I have not heard of them finding the child. I pray they find it alive.
