Will They Come Home ?????

As a turkey hunter just an idea. Would it be logical to go out and wander around with some turkey calls, maybe you know someone who knows how to use them properly. I know in the wild they sure react to them. Best of luck to you.

That's what we did, we went out with SO dad and he used his turkey call for us. We found out from our 2 neighbors where they feed the wild turkeys and we checked there but got nothing. We think they are just plain gone

I feel your pain believe me. My black spanish hen lost her mate last fall and this early spring she laid in her next we kept taking her eggs just to see if they were fertile they were not because she just didn't like the young male we had. I guess he was just too young for her. Then one day the wild turkeys came up while we were gone and she left with them. We called and she came running back soon she left for long time and never returned. I think the flock left the area. We keep calling every night for a month know. But have not seen her. Im affraid right know since it is turkey season. I still have a little hope that she will on day return when the flock comes back around but I know it is a long shot. We just broke down and got 7 hatching eggs to try and get some more hens. Never thought I would like turkey so much but that hen was almost like a dog. I would go outside and she would just drop to the ground as soon as I was close to her for me to pet her or pick her up. I mess her very much. We just called her girly girl and she would come running.
