I have 2 silkies that are 7 almost 8 months and they are both laying. what are the chances of the going broody and hatching the eggs? I know the eggs are fertile because i have checked many of them ( i saw the bulls eye)

Keep some in the nest for a few days, and see how it goes. . . Some won't go broody until their second year of laying, some go broody just weeks after laying. Eggs in the nesting boxes is usually what triggers them though.

With silkies it is generally a question of when will they rather than will they.[IMG]

I have heard that silkies will go broody and they are good mothers
