I have been feeding my flock of 13 chickens, 1 guinea, and 2 ducks Purina Flock Raiser since the day I got them. I have been driving about an hour to get this feed from my closest TSC, so that makes it a round trip of almost 2 hours to get feed. I just didn't have the time or gas to go all that way today to get feed so I stopped into the local feed store that is only about 15 mins from home instead. They don't carry Purina Flock Raiser and the one chick feed I did see looked as it was medicated. I asked the owner what she would recommend for my flock and sent me home with a bag of Purina Layena Crumbles. My chickens are about 12 weeks and 10 weeks old and my guinea is about a 2 months old. Now my ducks are about 3 weeks old and I know they need niacin (sp?) in thier diet and no medicated feed. Will this feed be ok for my flock for now? I just want what is best for everyone, I can get more Flock Raiser this weekend but I also have baby ducks coming in on Friday. Will a few day of Layer feed be bad?
