Will this waterer work for quail?

I've never used one exactly like that, but mine drank out of horizontal nipple drinkers just fine, so I would assume so

I have heard people say theh use these for birds. I just use them for rabbits

Same I use these for rabbits but I use traditional waterers for birds.....not sure if quail could get enough water from these

I teach the chicks to use horizontal waterers by pushing the nub that releases water and leaving some on the little reservoir underneath, they will come drink that drop and start pecking at it for more. I press the things every hour for a day and they’ve got it worked out. Also most nipples sold for quail are red, so if you get red tape or something and put it around the nipple, it might entice them to peck it.

I'm still on the fence about it. It may just be easier to switch out their water a couple of times a day. Thanks for the input though, and if anyone else has any exp with these types of waterer's I'd love to hear tips. This is the cheapest I can get them where I live, and there's only a few left in stock, with mixed reviews but mostly good.
