Will this work ?

i want to use a canning pot for a water heater, will this work ? or be to thick to heat up. the reson being is it will fit my waterers base pefectly , im having trouble w it (waterer) tipping off of the cookie tin heater

I think we need some more information on how you're going to set it up before we can help. Do you intend to put some heat source in an inverted water bath pot or pressure cooker base and then put the waterer on top of that? Sorry, maybe it's really obvious, but I'm not understanding the situation/question fully right now.

Sorry about that, im planning to put a ceramic socket on an extensoin cord inside , and then flip the lid over and set the waterer on top . i was wondering also what wattage bulb i would prob need
