Yes, I'll be buying 2 different types of chicks next spring. Red Rangers for food and Mille Fleur d'Uccles to breed with our cockerel. I'm hoping to sneak a duckling in when I buy the Red Rangers at our local feed store.

I want to so bad! There are so many breeds I want to work with. However, with me graduating high school this year and leaving for the big C, I don’t think my mom will let me :(.

I had to google that 'cuz I thought German Sparkly was just a cute nickname. Nope, actual name lol. How wonderful!
Haha! Nope. It's a type of Coturnix :D

Not bird topic----
But anybody know any bunny rescue or adoptions places near gilbert, az? I want to give a bunny a good forever home

Yes, McMurray opened up for pre-orders Monday! They’ve already sold out of their projected quantities of American Bresse and chocolate Orpingtons!!

I think a lot of people (like me) went all “Green Acres” at the start of the pandemic and then realized chickens take.... well work and attention. No more chickens for them! Or they’ve got their backyard flock established and are set. Either way there probably won’t be the insane rush like this year. Hopefully.

I’ll be sticking with hatching eggs if I want new birds — except for the Cornish Cross. Those little guys are awesome, best chicken dinners ever!:drool
