We are Wilson's poultry. We already have a question. We have two royal palm turkeys, we believe both female, and three bronze broad breasted, two male one female. One of our royal palms laid a clutch of 5 eggs, which hatched last night. These are our first hatchlings. From all of the information we have read these two breeds cannot mate so we have no idea who fertalized her eggs. Any one have any ideas??

Hello

and Welcome to BYC!
Glad you joined us. I would ask your question in the Turkeys Forum (https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/20/turkeys) you may get more responses.

yeah the bronze breasted Tom fertilized the eggs. Bronze breasted turkey and royal palm turkey can certainly and do as you can see interbreed. They are both Turkeys just like chickens can intermingle so can turkeys. congrats on the babies

Just wondering, are you in KS? I used to live there and there was a Wilson family with turkeys.

Thanks for joining us!
