Windy hill chickens - first flock(s) of my own

Pics
Still not much evidence appearance-wise, other than slightly redder comb & wattles than the others, but I've been thinking Grumpy Chick might be a cockerel and saw a couple of things today to back that up. A few of those minor hackle flaring face-offs that don't lead to anything with one or other of the rock boys, hard to describe how but it definitely looked like the specific way that interaction happens between two males. Also I've been giving the wheaten Shetland vitamins and a bit of chick crumb mash for the last week or so because she was doing a funky head bob thing that looked a bit like torticollis and didn't seem to be getting much to eat (she's doing better now, not sure if the vitamins or yet another haircut are what helped). She wasn't happy today when I grabbed her to give her the meds and GC came running over when she shouted. Didn't do anything once ?he saw it was just me, but it looked a lot like a cockerel coming to defend one of his girls.

Are the hurricanes in the Atlantic affecting your area??
I have been watching the last few. They don't go west far enough to reach Florida, and the East coast. Kind of turn North, and then somewhat NORTH-EAST. ..
I know they are pretty weak once they get that far north where you are,,, but there may still be weather disturbances not favorable.

We get a lot of wind here but I couldn't say how much of that is due to specific storms. Gabrielle is forecast to hit Europe much further south, around northern Spain and Portugal, but there's another system passing Iceland and then heading north at the end of the week that will affect us more.

This is a forecast for Friday night. I'm at the blue dot just above where it says Aberdeen. Gabrielle is the storm in the bottom left corner of the map.
