Oh my gosh, I laughed soooooooo hard reading these posts that it prompted me to go onto my local CL to look up chickens and see what ads there were. Well, here's what I found:

I have a really nice, clean, pair of modeled japs, a blue splash oeg, and a rosecomb.... Up to standard and blue ribbon worthy ... Id like them to go to a 4-h member for show (Apparently they are models? Wonder if they've been Vogue magazine)

And here is the other one:

Looking for copper moran chickens hens prefer adults but will consider chicks (Apparently they want the Irish chickens, NOT the French ones)

This reminds me of my grandmother. I was talking to her on the phone once about my chickens. She asked what breeds I had and I was telling her. She says, "Oh yeah, I think when I was young on the farm we had some of those Why-not chickens. To this day, she still calls them Why-nots. I love it, LOL. Why not chickens?
