Wing Clip Question

Well my fence is 5 feet and I had about 5 of 60 chickens that really didn't want to stay in their designated area, so the unbalanced thing is what I tried and thank God, it worked. I will also be probably putting a canopy over all their pasture areas as an added precaution, to use for growing several kinds of vines, as well as security and confinement.

Thanks for all of your input. I just did not want to try if it if clipping wasn't going to stop her no matter what. I will have to try it this weekend and let you know next week if I see her out. I wish netting was an option, but their run is pretty big and it would be too costly. I jst don't want to loose her to an animal or her getting lost. You would think that she would finally get it after her 6th attempt and getting stuck outside, but no.
