I have 33 black&red sexlinks and they are extremely flighty. I built them a sort of cage in my shed (it wasn't covered) and they were able to fly over it. but I'm worried that if maybe I forget to put the lid back and one gets out, it might be devoured by a dog or something else. So, should I have their wings clipped, and is it possible to do at home?
Thanks

It is completely up to you whether or not you clip their wings. It can be done at home and is a very simple process. Fan the wing out and cut the primary feathers (should be the most prominent ones). Just make sure not to cut to short. You should be able to see a difference in color on the shaft where the blood flow is, it will be noticably darker. Just stay in the white area. Cut them with a sharp set of shears. Be sure to only cut one wing. The idea is to throw them off balance when they try to fly. I would only do this if you plan on keeping them confined where predators can not get them, because they will loose their defense mechanism, flight.

Okay, thanks. I didn't know it'd be so simple!
