That was a compromise I made. I can have as many animals as I want but they're not allowed near or in the house. I guess having a goat standing on the hood of the truck is a no-no?

Let's not tell my guy that the chickens have definitely been in the house. I may have washed their butts in the kitchen sink. Shhh...
We have 2 sinks in the kitchen, the big one and the 15ā€ prep sink. Hubs loves the pullets but decreed that ALL chicken-related materials, dishes etc, are confined to the prep sink.

(Due to its location, the prep sink is really the cleaning sink for anything from outside; we just call it prep.)

I've never experienced it, but I would sway more towards she's miserable and found a spot to stay away from everyone. Bury an ice bottle in the bedding on the side of her if there's room for her to move closer or farther away if she wants. Canned tuna is a great source of protein and yogurt is yummy also. Hope your girl feels better quick.

Thanks! She left the nest on her own. I think you called it and poor thing just needed some alone time. I've been giving her special snacks. She's eating and drinking ok. Thankfully, she's pretty high in the pecking order so no one messes with her.
