Hey all,
I have a male peacock, around 7 months old who, over the past two days had a droopy (and almost non functional) right wing. I have raised him and his two sisters since the day they were hatched, and he still lives with the other two birds. The other day I left them in the care of my mother however when I came bacl I noticed this.

He is eating and drinking fine and seems well in all other aspects. When he attempts to fly it is not noticeable for short jumps but when he comes down he lands on his side.

I have observed him stretch and it seems the wing is fine until you get to the joint (if you know what I mean.

Anyone know what's up with him?

Thanks,
Alanna

This isn't the best picture but it gives you an idea of what I mean. It seems to not work from the white elbow kinda part.

all I can think of is maybe he sprained his wing or fractured part of one of the bones in his wing other then that it cant be anything bad youll maybe just need to wait till he heals he should be fine. Jay in MA

You need to catch him and do a thorough exam if you haven't already done so.
