I'll keep a very close eye on her in that respect. If things continue in a short period of time I think getting the vet to pay a visit should be undertaken. I don't like the thought of her being in pain if it can be alleviated. Thanks for the input.I have seen egg laying animals who where in this kind of state(egg binding too) b/c the egg was turned the wrong way and sitting on a nerve connecting to her legs. Which could be a reason why she can't walk well...she might be in pain. The egg could be rotten inside her but she might still not be able to pass it.
*I am only making this suggestion because I have watched some vet shows where they have worked on ducks with problems like this. I am no vet so this is just a suggestion that we could possibly look into.

Hi, not sure if you're interested but I felt as you were so helpful with questions and advice that I would let you know that Dagoo (my duck) went to the vets and all her vital signs were good however the vet did note the difficulties you, happy duck and I discussed. Vet gave her an anti inflammatory injection but feels that the issue is neurological. We've to watch her closely to see if the injection helps improve her, which may rule out neurological condition but if she declines further we've to take her back to vet's and further investigation can be made. We've also bought vitamins to add to her diet.If egg binding it usually doesn't take long for them to die if they can't pass it. And if this has been going on for a while? Could be she has EP or some other type of infection where an antibiotic would possibly help. I believe I asked if she had any type of discharge from her vent area? how does her poop look? If you can get a vet to examine her that would really be best we could spend days trying to figure out what is going on and in the meantime she keeps going down hill and you lose her.

The first place I would expect this problem to be would be with reproductive(as her legs have got a bit to do with it) but the more I think...maybe it could be some kind of infection the respiratory and it has spread. How is her breathing? Does she sound clear or stuffy? Is her nose clear?
Thank you and will certainly keep you updated.Thank you so much for getting back with us on update. I sure hope the injection helps her. Please keep us updated on how she is doing.![]()
