"Crazy? Nawww, that happens," he said as he straightened and ruffled his crimson feathers, "Well, I'm glad it's nothing serious then. I hope you feel better soon."

Wildheart shrugged before walking to the muddy shore's edge and staring at the water, waiting for an unsuspecting minnow to swim close to his beak. At last, one swam by, and he ever so slowly extended his neck, then when it circled in a vulnerable place he pecked the water and caught it.

Quote:
A shadow crept along the forest floor as a bird followed inconspicuously from the trees above.

*Red sensed someone trailing her, she then spun around and let loose a barrage of sleeping darts in the direction of the shadow.

The shadow vanished, then some silent wingbeats could be heard as it was dodging the darts, before the shadow appeared a few trees ahead of her. It paused for a moment and a dart that was caught in it's flight feathers dropped from it's perch and onto the ground. There was a clattering of metal as the bird leapt brom bough to bough, away from Red and toward the mountains. Many more shadows of varying sizes followed noiselessly after it.

A single feather of iridescent raven black drifted down on the breeze, landing on Red's forehead.

"Have you anything to report to me?" the booming voice thundered, resonating throughout the hall as he sat atop his throne of woven brambles, in all of his power and glory, a grin creeping upon his rosy face, his red eyes seemingly gazing right through her. He was tall and amber in color with a tall comb, daggers of iridescent black centered in each of his golden hackles, and a high-carried beetle-black tail with sickles that fell just past his long, ivory spurs."Yes, father," said the little brown hen, kneeling low to her hocks before him and bowing her head, "Everything is going according to plan." His grin changed into a smug smirk, his eyes lighting up with mischeif, "Any suspicions yet?" "No," she answered firmly and steadily, raising her head to smile at him, "Clawstar is still oblivious." she crooned with a stifled cackle, "They will never see it coming."

The dream repeated in Clawstar's head until finally, the afternoon sunlight shifted into the room, shining hot in his face. He sputtered for a moment and his eyes shot open, and a furrow etched itself into his forehead. I need to stop being so paranoid, thought Clawstar crossly, and he squinted with a wing shielding his face from the bright sun's rays, She's just taking a break. That's all this is. It'll be alright.
