(Hey everyone!
I'm sorry I've been gone, uh . . . oh my gosh, a week!
My, how the time flies when you're having 'fun'
Let's just pretend that Silver was deathly ill and Bloodwing was, um, abducted by aliens)
A yawn broke through Silver's beak as she stretched, one outstretched opalescent wing refracting the sun's glare into a myriad of dancing light. Yellow eyes alert, she descended from the branch and was cushioned by the caressing air. A shake of the feathers, a brief sip from the creek and a quick brush of the crown, and she was ready. With a final flick of her tail, she jogged into the growing foliage, to the border, and the start of her patrol.
(If someone could brush me up to speed with what's been going on, that would be great
I have some books to read that are shorter than this novel
