I agree, back then even Russetstar was fair. But when your opponent is being unfair you have to be the same back, otherwise you'll always loose

A set of rules would only go so far again.
I do not see any good solutions to the problem of fighting.
Minus no more instant mortal wounds, etc.
Talk out the battle before, plan an ending? It's not Rping so much then... Hmm..
