Dusk squeezed her eyes shut and stepped back, shaking the dirt off of her ebony feathers and sneezing. She smiled, "No need to apologize, I need to watch where I'm goin'!" she laughed. "So who are you, anyway? Did you want to join the clan? I just joined; I could show you to the leader's den if you want."

He wasn't quite sure if it was the hen or one of the rather soft patches of moss which seemed to be growing on the bases of most of the surrounding trees, he decided to poke it again.
