(i know it should and my cat almost remove a chunk of my skin while i was helping him!)

Immediately Bloodwing sprung into a nearby sapling oak, wobbling precariously on one of the branches as he glowered down at Scarlet. He ruffled his feathers vainly. "You'd better not," he grumbled with a pouting frown. "They're not even dry from the last time."

"We're going to be seeing quite a lot of each other now, and I want to get a few things straight with you," he fixed her with a beady eye. "Water is a 'no'. Also ponds, streams, and other categories of 'water'. You may, however," he held up a flight feather with a false air of importance. "Set me one fire, conk me on the head, or other equally violent acts. Deal?"

Quietly he alighted from the tree, leaving it swaying precariously. "Deal," he shook her wing steadily, grinning as he put it to his heart. "I promise upon a squirrel's winter stash, but if I even see one drop of water . . ." he shuddered visibly.
