Lillychick whispered a quick and grateful thanks to Stonewing before turning to Rosechick. She gave a sad look of sympathy to Rosechick for her loss. "I'd love to meet my new momma!" Lillychick said eagerly, changing the subject.

Starrynight walked out from the nursery, soon greeted by her daughters and her son. "I have big news," she said, bending down to their level, "You guys have a new brother!" she exclaimed, slightly opening her wing and revealing a small, gray chick who was silent as could be, fast asleep in his mother's soft, black-etched feathers. There was a resonating "Awww!" as Moonpaw and Bronzepaw grinned from ear to ear, parting her feathers to peek at the chick. "He's adorable!" said Bronzepaw, nearly bouncing with excitement.

Duskpaw lumbered over, already standing taller than his older siblings. He smiled softly as he saw his new little brother. This chick even had Rainsong ooohing and ahhhing, a broad smile creeping upon her muffed cheeks. "His color is so unusual," commented Rainsong, cocking her head to examine the chick, "What will you name him?" "I'm not sure," answered Starrynight, tucking the cockerel back under her wing, "Maybe... Ironchick? Because he's gray, and Iron is strong. Ohhh, I don't know!"
