WingClan, a Chicken clan ЯР--> 'Fly with the breeze'

From the nest Silvermist gave a small groan, eyes focusing on something neither of the two hens could she. She grasped at Wildheart's wing weakly, chest heaving. With a shudder, she closed her eyes. "It hurts," she mumbled, slurring her words slightly. "Hurts."

"What hurts?" Fireflower asked, flushing out her wounds with spring water before measuring her body to calculate the correct amount of the antidote.

She waved feebly at her chest, where the edges were beginning to grow black as the rattlesnake venom began to turn the tissue necrotic. Her heart beat painfully against her ribs. One of them felt broken, but she wasn't sure. She wasn't sure of anything anymore. She felt weightless, as if her head weighed no more than a feather. Sleepiness came over her, and she lay her head down drowsily.

Nightwhisper sighed. "I know," He said. "But I felt like I had to do something." He remained still for a while and watched Fireflower, then asked: "Where does Aspspur come from?" "Is he a loner?"

The rooster's gaze darkened. "No," he said flatly, shaking his head. "He's part of a--a group."

"A group?" Nightwhisper asked, surprised. His gypsy face had now turned bright red as the color drained from his face. It'll be harder than I thought..

"Which group?" Iceberry asked

The rooster turned to her, face solemn. "They're not really a clan. They're not really a group. There is no category for what they are," he sighed, as if suddenly very tired. "In the land to the south we call them the Shadows. They don't even have a name amongst themselves."

Nightwhisper shivered. "How many of them are there?" He asked.

Fireflower quickly mashed up a small petal and mixed it with the antidote, placing it in Silvermist's beak and stroking her throat to make her swallow. She grabbed a few marigold leaves and began to chew them up into a pulp for later.

"I'm going back for the pullet" Iceberry explained, leaving the den

He saw the glint of revenge in Nightwhisper's eyes, and shook his head. "Trust me, you don't want to mess with them. You'll end up dead before you could lay a foot inside their territory," he shook his head, trying to get his untidy locks out of his eyes. "Aspspur has as many followers as your average clan. Except they're not a clan. They don't even follow the warrior code, and that's what makes them so dangerous."

"I--I think so," her voice was both shrill and a whisper. She was still trembling.

Iceberry returned to the clearing and faced the pullet "Come with me, you need to get out of here in case they come back"

Fireflower listened as she worked
