Have you ever read the books? In the book, the other son murdered his parents, tried to murder his brother numerous times, and his sister. I never saw the movie but i read the books. The movie was a fail because it was 5-year-old friendly.

I never read the books, only watched the movie and I really liked it

You should read the books, the first ones are more gauged to the younger group but, as you move up I believe there is an owl that might be Russet's sister. O-o
