Slatepaw was wandering aimlessly about the camp out of boredom, when suddenly, she heard a rustle in the bushes. Her feathers immediately bristled and a shiver crawled down her spine. "Who's there?" sputtered the pullet, her gray eyes darting from bush to bush. There was no verbal answer, simply sniffing. A long, bushy tail of rich reddish rufous, tipped with white, flicked left and right over the foliage. Slatepaw nervously paced backward until her rump hit a tree, sending a few loose pinecones dropping from the pine's boughs and onto the dusty earth with a thud.

The creature's sniffing came closer and closer. The quiet pitter-patter of it's paws were becoming louder by the moment. Frozen with fear, Slatepaw gulped, but choked on it, struggling to heave her stiff, subtly trembling hocks to movement.

Raven saw both SlatePaw and his sister Brook staring into the same part of the forest from different places.

Brook stared at Slate in horror. "I saw a big blue rooster pass by just then. Do you think that fox... got him?"

"I-I don't know," Slate murmured, struggling to pull herself together, embarassed by her obvious fear in front of the other two apprentices. Sadly, she couldn't help that she'd never fought a fox before-- she'd never even seen one in her entire life!

A bloodcurdling shriek resonated through the woods and swift footsteps could be heard, striking the ground in an almost thunderous roar, at an incredibly fast rate. The fox flicked it's tail and growled as it's chocolate brown eyes shifted from the Wingclan chickens to the forest.

topaztorture walks around WC border, her metal spurs clinking into the night, the moon making her tobunt fleathers shimmering in the ngiht, but her eyes were as cold of ice

Icestar is meant to be very pale blue, a bit like that little roo you bought off me. But if that's too unreal, he can bluish-grey, that's fine too

"Shh," Raven put a wing onto the quivering pullet. "We'll be okay if we don't make any sudden moves. When I give you the signal, fly up onto that branch in that there tree, the trunk is too thin for any fox to climb. We can worry about that rooster later."

He waited until the fox had retreated a few metres and had its eyes set away from them.
"Now." He lifted off, hoping Slate would follow.
