while the aseel was busy with silvermist, he attacks, getting him off the bird

The Aseel laughed as the black bird pelted him with his weapons, still grasping Silvermist. "You've made your choice clear."

With a grin, he drew one long, dripping spur deep into Silvermist's chest. Her eyes widened, a gurgling gasp coming from her throat as she fell back, limp, attempting one last kick at the Aseel before lying still, chest heaving as blood leaked quietly from her wounds. The Aseel stood solemnly, unsteadied by the black bird, and raised his other spur, attempting to cast it deep into the Leghorn's throat.

Suddenly the shadow jumped forwards, into the light, and into the Aseel. The two birds toppled over, struggling together as eh rolled about on the dusty ground.

"SILVERMIST!" Iceberry screamed, running towards the white hen on the ground. She pressed her wings against her friends wounds to try and slow down the bleeding.

"Iceberry," her voice was a whisper, barely audible. Her eyes were unfocused, pupils dilated as she fought for breath. "Sorry . . . sorry," she heaved. "Get pullet. Get her."

The pullet, thrown back by Wildheart's advances on the Aseel, crouched a little ways away, terrified, and unsure of what to do, or who to trust.

No, I'm just kidding.)

It wasn't enough. The wounds kept bleeding, fresh and free, onto the crimson ground below. Silvermist smiled at him feebly.

Iceberry hesitated, reluctant to leave her friend. Slowly she got up and reached for the pullet, bringing her beside Silvermist "Don't die" She whispered, stroking her friends head "Please don't die"

No, the pullet was thrown away from the hen and rooster because of Wildheart. She's free, now.

With a sob, the pullet huddled against Iceberry, hoping that she had at last found a friend. The tears flowed freely as she stared with wide eyes as the two roosters grappled in the soil and Silvermist lay bleeding on the ground.
