Nightwhisper's father ignored her screams of agony and sunk his spurs deeper and deeper into her flesh,stopping only when he hit bone. He then yanked his spurs out of her flesh and started to back away. Nightwhisper suddenly regained his ability to walk and slowly dragged himself over towards him. Once he reached him,he stood up and grabbed his father's shoulder. "Dad,leave her alone." He repeated.

A series of spasms began wracking Hellpaw's body, making her body flop across the ground like a fish. At last she lay still, her wing and leg twisted at impossible angles and a pool of blood forming under her.
