Sharp made her way towards where she thought she saw another chicken. She held onto what little possessions she had (a few berries and a pouch of fresh water) tightly.
"Can anyone tell me where I am?" she called again.

SharpPaw started to feel nervous. What was happening?
"Who's there?" she called out. "I'm lost, could someone help-"
The ferns were parted and tendrils of darkness seemed to absorb the silhouetted birds, and, without a trace - they were gone. The hooting of owls blended with the lulling myriad of nighttime sounds, and Nighthawks soared high above in the glittering navy sky with a surreal grace.
Soft churring could be heard not far from her. "Starrynight," a voice timidly called after her, "Who're you?" Leaves crunched as the figure gingerly approached, her plumage a bright alabaster, each feather fringed with ebony.

"My name is Sharp," the pullet replied, eying this beautiful hen curiously. Her own grey feathers seemed to pale in comparison.
"This seems like a lonely place," she said as an owl hooted somewhere. "Do you live here?"

But I'll give this thing a shot, never done it with chickens before.

"Oh! Well, I wish I could help take you there," Starrynight furrowed and frowned. "but in the meantime, do you need a place to stay? My son and I can lead you to our clan. It's much too dangerous to be in the forest alone."
From out of the brambles stepped a tall, slate-gray Cockerel, with starkly contrasted silver bars marking his feathers. The young apprentice greeted Sharppaw with a faint smile and the dip of his head. "This is my son," Starrynight indicated the Cockerel with a sway of her wing, to which the Cockerel nodded and introduced himself; "You can call me Iron."
