From out of the brambles stepped a tall, slate-gray Cockerel, with starkly contrasted silver bars marking his feathers. The young apprentice greeted Sharppaw with a faint smile and the dip of his head. "This is my son," Starrynight indicated the Cockerel with a sway of her wing, to which the Cockerel nodded and introduced himself; "You can call me Iron."

"Hello Iron," Sharp said. "It's been a fair while since I saw anyone out here. How do you do?"
She liked the fact that he was a similar slate-grey colour to her: so not everyone else was bright and colourful.

The birds' lithe bodies deftly wound through the foliage with a grace unearthly to chickens as they passed the pair, as though they'd mapped this forest time and time again. Their plumage starkly contrasted one another, ranging from beetle-black to rich mohogany. Long, glistening tail feathers trailed behind the handsome roosters, and the hens were just as much a sight for sore eyes. Each pair of eyes glanced at Cherrypaw and Deathstorm, but they advanced onward without a single word. The mysterious beings moved like ghosts; noiseless and gone without a trace, just as fast as they'd appeared, their tall figures seemingly melting into the shadows.

I got bucked once, although I did get back on afterwards. I've just never owned one or been around them very much, I'm not comforable around an animal who would potentialy do me a lot of damage... lol

Cherrypaw watched, unable to speak. Once they were gone she turned wearily back to Deathstorm "We need to talk, but not here..." She looked around again "I have the feeling we're being watched"
