Venom nodded to her. “No. I’ll instructed them to let you both in, as long as you look like a WebWing or an Ice dragon.”
"Ah. Then we will be off. Thank you, dear, truly a pleasure to meet you." Fae lifted into the sky, Leif following closely behind.
"MAGIC. Magic?
Are you serious?!"
"Hey, it wor-"
"Leif. Follow
my lead. You have
never tried to be a leader, and do not start now."
"Lies.
I led the great Walrus expedition."
I smile hinted at Fae's expression, recollecting past memories as dragonets. "End it." Fae sighed, snatching his wrist as they reappeared in the library. "Make yourself gigantic."
"What?"
"I need you enormous. We have a tribe to threaten."
"The SeaWings?" Leif questioned.
"As well as the IceWings. We lied too much to Venom. She needs
some truth."
"Fae, the IceWing army was slaughtered back in the desert."
"Oh, Leif, I know." Fae began striding down the hall, the IceWing Prince following closely in her wake.
"Well." Leif shrugged.
"Go." Fae commanded, turning back to Leif, "Get the IceWings under control. You may need to appear as me, or use brute force."
"Will do." Leif saluted her with a wink. "But what of the SeaWing army? I don't understand... Why are you here? Why don't they kill you?"
"I assassinated their Princes, I destroyed anyone bearing a position of power." Fae smiled darkly, "The SeaWings are crippled by fear. Fear of you return."
"And if they revolt against you? Which is likely. They are not stupid."
"I know this." Fae extended her talon, still gripping the gold chain. "I will be fine, dear brother. We divide and conquer."
Leif nodded.
"I am proud of you, Leif."
Leif nodded.
