Winter and Summer Watering system w/ waterer nipples and heater.

the hot air i can do ! hehehe I have two 5 gal. waterers heated. i just cant do the hose thing. im old! pulling the hose in the air to drain so it dont freeze for 150 ft. is about more than i can handle. some one suggested one of those new shrink hoses but i am in the boonies and they are gone for the winter. my credit is crap and i cant order, im new to computer and dont know how to anyway. NOW if anyone wants to gift me one , i will try and run on a treadmill or if someone has a design in mind to roll the hose up in the air so it will drain. i will do my best to make it.

I checked out the expanding hoses and there were very few good reviews on any of them, so don't know what to do .

the hoses probably are crap but if you are just using them in the winter for chicken waterers they would probably last a while. and no, im not really gonna run on a treadmill.lol

i THOUGHT i saw a auto hose winder at lowes but if im remembering right it was over 100 dollars and i just wonder if it could be elevated so the water would drain?

Quote: As long as it's higher than the far end of the hose, it willl drain, but it may wind too fast for the water to all flow out.
It could still freeze unless you used ALL the hose every time, and always disconnect from the faucet
