Ok so I read through the winter broiler projects last year and now I've got tons of questions.
1. Winter broilers should the have an on ground coop?
2.How big would you make a coop for ten. I'm going to lite and heat and allow outside access.
3. My local agway recommend a feed called broiler maker? Any experiance with it good bad indifferent.
4. I heard people moving them outside as soon as they are feathered. Are they really that messy was going to keep them in a brooder in the finished basement for 6 weeks. Is this a bad idea?
5.i have a local brewery cross town if they use barley mash this is a good feed?

:rolleyes:this is my first time raising chickens period. So input is appreciated.

I'm only on my second batch, but there's no way I would have them in the house for 6 weeks! I wouldn't have them in garage that long either, they really are messy. The broiler maker will work fine.they are delicious, especially smoked.
