These are good ideas to research, thanks. We've had a fox come around our chicken coop during the night. We've carefully secured they're chain link kennel and put bungees and an extra lock on the coop doors. So far, the chickens have been safe. Anyone else ever have a fox type animal come around their yard?

I have a sensor light out back near the coop it spooks the coyotes.

Ya we have a sensor light out too by the coop. And a trail camera, the fox comes by about 3am sometimes.

We ended up using a rubbermaid bin with an aquarium heater in it on a timer. Works great and the water stays clean with a rectangle opening in the side for drinking, with a lid.
