Winter Entertainment for Ducks?

I think I’m going to look at some heavier duty bird toys (I assume ones made for parrots would be tough enough/safe) and maybe a dog food puzzle to put treats in. I liked the hanging ball of lettuce too. I keep seeing mirrors mentioned. I wonder if adult ducks like mirrors or if they get freaked out?

I tried mirrors, and my female didn’t care but my males were extremely stressed. They kept fluffing up their feathers at the mirror and running from it. It may be different for each duck, but mine didn’t like it!

I wonder if they would appreciate a Jolly Ball with handle. They are generally sold as horse toys, but, even in smaller sizes Maybe geese would grab it by the handle and shake it around

Or some large dog kong toys, that you stuff food in the openings.

I’m thinking about getting the rubber Kong dog chew and fill it with peas!

Something I do with my chickens, no clue how ducks would react.

Get some yarn or and old shoelace. If your enclosure has holes on the side, tie into onto one of the holes. My girls love to play tug-o-war with it!
Oh my gosh! That’s a great idea! My ducks love chewing on the vines growing through the fence (but the vines are dying), so I’ll replace them with rope! Thank you! :ya
