As the weather cools and my hens laying declines, do I still feed layer pellets or more corn to increase their body heat? What do you other cold climate chicken keepers do? I feed them warm rice in the morning and their regular mix of scratch and layer pellets. My egg count is slowing now. I don't think I want to not feed pellets, but do I cut back, or continue as I am feeding?
