Winter Housing for 3 ducks

So how did your winter cover go for your ducks? This winter wasn't too bad for ours (considering we live in Western NY). I got a bigger container where all 3 can go in at the same time and we would put in a 3 gallon bucket of warm to hot water (to melt the ice) for them. Once there was snow all around it and they used the snow like a slide to go in. Plus the water was steaming and it seemed like they were saying "ahh, this hot tub is soo very nice"

Our winter was very mild as well. I heeded everyone's advice and just let my ducks be ducks. I got a heated 5 gallon bucket so that they would have drinking water. The would skate around on the pond when it froze over. They survived quite well. We still got eggs every day.
